Project Cargo Director

A leadership role running the Project Cargo department at a Canadian-owned international freight forwarder, reporting to the Director of Global Operations with a project team lead and coordinators reporting in.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the project cargo department: operational excellence, profitability and customer satisfaction
- Own departmental results, communicate them to the leadership team and build action plans
- Stay hands-on across complex, oversized and multi-leg moves
- Contribute to strategic initiatives as part of the leadership group
- Develop the project team lead and coordinators
What we're looking for
- Project cargo and out-of-gauge experience in freight forwarding
- Comfort leading a small team while staying close to the operational detail
- Strong customer-facing presence with shippers and global partners
