Freight Forwarding Branch Manager

A branch leadership role for a global freight forwarder at the Winnipeg (CentrePort) inland gateway. You'll own air, ocean, and cross-border operations, branch P&L, carrier relationships, and the development of a coordinator team.
What you'll be doing
- Own branch operations across air, ocean, and cross-border road freight
- Manage branch P&L: revenue, margin, cost, and productivity
- Own carrier, airline, and cross-border partner relationships
- Lead, schedule, and coach a team of forwarding coordinators
- Ensure documentation, customs coordination, and compliance accuracy
- Partner with sales to grow the branch's book of business
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in freight forwarding, with branch or team leadership experience
- Knowledge of air and ocean operations plus Canada-US cross-border road
- Understanding of customs coordination and trade documentation
- Proven people leadership and P&L or branch-metrics ownership
- Experience with forwarding software (e.g., CargoWise) an asset
Compensation & benefits
- $90,000 - $115,000 CAD base + bonus
