Director of Fleet Operations

A senior operations leadership role for an asset-based carrier, owning fleet, terminals, and driver performance across the network. Reports to the COO. Accountable for utilization, safety, compliance, and operating ratio.
What you'll own
- Fleet utilization, maintenance strategy, and terminal operations
- Safety, compliance, and DOT / MTO programs across the network
- Driver recruiting, retention, and engagement in partnership with HR
- Operating ratio, cost-per-mile, and capital-planning for equipment
- Dispatch, planning, and load-execution performance
- Coaching and development of terminal and operations leaders
What we're looking for
- 10+ years in asset-based fleet / terminal operations leadership
- Strong command of safety and regulatory compliance (DOT / MTO / CVOR)
- Proven driver-retention and asset-utilization results
- P&L and operating-ratio accountability
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Compensation & benefits
- $150,000 - $185,000 CAD + bonus
